Vesakhi Day is a key event in the Sikh calendar, commemorating the birth of the Khalsa Panth (the Commonwealth) and a celebration of the Sikh cultural heritage. The theme for this year’s Vesakhi Mela is "Forging Family Values in our Multiracial Society", which aims to enhance Singapore’s multiracial culture while making Sikh youths more aware of their rich inheritance.
