CEP Student Leadership Training workshop
16 March 2010

Within the MOE Cluster West One, the National Education Interest Group (IG) has identified the promotion of Community Engagement Programme (CEP) as one of the IG’s key focus over the next two years. As part of the IG’s developmental plan, effort is made to equip both staff and student leaders for the purpose of being effective champions of CEP.

Recently, the IG planned and organised a half-day CEP Student Leadership training workshop for 53 student NE ambassadors from 5 cluster secondary schools and 33 pupil NE ambassadors from 4 cluster primary schools. The session was held on 16 March 2010, at New Town Secondary School.

What was unique about this CEP workshop was that not only was the programme differentiated for the two groups of students, the trainers worked closely with both the Primary and Secondary School teachers to ensure that the training programmes are customised to meet the needs of the participants.
