The 'Guidelines for Enhancing Building Security in Singapore' (GEBSS) is a comprehensive reference guide on building security practices and is a follow-up from the earlier 'Enhancing Building Security' booklet. The GEBSS has been prepared by MHA in consultation with URA, BCA, ISD, SPF, SCDF and with inputs from external consultants. It provides a set of guidelines that caters to the local context - such as taking into account the local threat scenarios, construction trends, building typology, and local urban planning considerations. The purpose of the GEBSS is to raise awareness, educate and provide useful information to building owners, developers, designers, contractors and other stakeholders working on enhancing the safety of our buildings. The GEBSS is a ‘live’ document which will be updated when necessary. You can download a current copy of the GEBSS from the MHA website or here.
