Giving an entrepreneurial twist to the CEP
24 October 2007

The workplace occupies a central position in many people's lives. Add to this the fact that small and medium enterprises (SMEs) make up more than 90% of local business establishments, and the importance of forging strong community ties in SMEs becomes exceptionally important.

To promote community bonding and crisis preparedness in SMEs, the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises has published an article on the CEP in its bi-monthly publication, Entrepreneurs' Digest.

Titled "The Community Engagement Programme - Forging Unity for a Singapore United", the article provides background information on the CEP and the involvement of the Businesses and Unions Cluster. Giving an entrepreneurial twist to the CEP, the article also highlights a variety of enterprising ways in which employers and employees can play a role in safeguarding social harmony in Singapore.

To make this information accessible to you, we have uploaded the article below. Besides being just a "click" away, the magazine is also available at major bookstores near you. So hurry up and find out more about how you can make a difference at your own workplace.

Please note, all information, and/or materials (including graphics & design) in the attached article may not be used or reproduced, in part or whole, without the written consent of the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises. _______________________________________________________________________
