With effect from 1 Nov 2012, the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA) will be restructured to form three new ministries. Two of the new ministries are the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) and the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) , and they will remain as CEP cluster leads.
The five cluster lead agencies supporting the CEP will thus be the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI), the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and the People's Association (PA). The Singapore Polytechnic-Civil Defence Lionhearter Club was officially launched on 27 Oct 2009. One of the roles of the Lionhearter Club is to provide humanitarian assistance during overseas mission. The maiden overseas mission was a deployment to Pariaman, Padang City, from 13 Oct to 15 Oct, to help the earthquake victims.
