Date : 19 September 2007

A first-of-its-kind exhibition on Singapore cartoons (till 30 Nov 2007)
Five local cartoonists now showcase their So Singapore cartoons at an exclusive exhibition held at the S'pore Discovery Centre (SDC) for the very first time. Among them are political cartoonist George Nonis, the man behind the book Hello Chok Tong, Goodbye Kuan Yew: The Untold Story, Miel Prudencio and Dylan Teo (张进培), key cartoonist/illustrators from The Straits Times and Lianhe Zaobao respectively.
On display are 100 pieces of work spread across the theme on how Singaporeans Work, Live and Play. They reflect the everyday life in Singapore and the social issues such as fighting myopia and maintaining clean toilets. Besides cartoons, life-sized 3D cartoon characters have been fabricated for the public to take pictures with, and interactive cartoon games which help visitors to create their own So Singapore cartoons.
The exhibition also showcases podcasts by blogger Mr Brown. The podcasts present the Singapore Story through a series of coffeshop talks, recorded over 24 hours. Through the unscripted sitting, mr brown seeks to capture the real voices of real people, and the stories, both big and small, that they tell.
