The Singapore Polytechnic-Civil Defence Lionhearter Club was officially launched on 27 Oct 2009. One of the roles of the Lionhearter Club is to provide humanitarian assistance during overseas mission. The maiden overseas mission was a deployment to Pariaman, Padang City, from 13 Oct to 15 Oct, to help the earthquake victims.

The Racial Harmony-cum-Student Mentoring project was jointly organised by teachers from New Town Secondary School and Yuhua Primary School, both of which belong to MOE Cluster West One.
Youths are not satisfied with just absorbing information. Student representatives who were present at the National CEP Seminar contributed ideas to help improve the CEP.
