The JCube is a shopping mall located in Jurong East, Singapore. Open from 10 am to 10 pm, this shopping mall offers an array of retail and entertainment choices. It is also home to Singapore’s first Olympic-size ice rink and IMAX theatre. Formerly known as Jurong Entertainment Centre, the JCube is a redevelopment of the former Jurong Entertainment Centre.

CapitaLand Development, which owns the JCube shopping mall, has plans to convert the land into a mixed-use residential development. The new design will include commercial spaces on the ground floor and residential units on top. The new development is expected to take about five years to complete.

The company currently owns 23 properties, with 96 percent of its assets in Singapore. In December, it entered the Australian market, buying three properties to be developed by 2022. The JCube sits on a 99-year leasehold site and yields 210,038 square feet of net lettable space. The building also has an IMAX theatre and a rooftop garden.

IMM Mall

The former JCube Shopping Centre is located on Jurong East’s Jurong East Central 1 road, and is accessible via Jurong East EW24, NS1 and Chinese Garden EW25. The property is located close to several amenities, including childcare centres, grocery stores, and the Seven-day Adventist Kindergarten. It is also close to the IMM BUILDING and Westgate.

The International Merchandising Mall (IMM) is the largest outlet mall in Singapore, with over 100 outlet stores. The IMM features a large selection of merchandise at up to 80% off the original retail price. There are a variety of brands represented, including Adidas, Calvin Klein, Coach, Evisu, Hugo Boss, Kate Spade, Michael Kors and Nike.

The IMM features 407,000 square feet of retail space. It features a variety of fashion and home decor stores. It also has a Giant hypermarket and a Best Denki department store. The IMM also boasts over 50 food and beverage outlets, including fast food and international dishes.

Westgate

Located in the Jurong East district of Singapore, the Former JCube Shopping Centre has many exciting amenities and activities. It is open 10am-10pm daily and boasts the first Olympic-size ice rink in the suburbs, as well as Singapore’s first IMAX theatre. The shopping centre was built on the site of the Jurong Entertainment Centre.

The mall is about 200m away from the Jurong East MRT station. It reopened in 2012 after undergoing a complete refurbishment. A few years ago, there was an ice skating rink in the Jurong Entertainment Centre, which was closed after the development of JCube. However, the mall has struggled to attract enough footfall since its opening, and now faces competition from other malls.

The developer has set aside more than half of the site for retail. While retail space generally commands higher rents, it can also command higher land prices.
